I called 1st Alliance Lending to refinance my home mortgage and discovered the experience of a lifetime. Each representative I dealt with was professional, friendly and helpful. Applying for the loan was simple and easy. There was a representative reaching out to you to answer questions and guide you through the process. Once approved, a representative called at your convenience to discuss the details of the loan. You could chose an attorney or they would provide one that would meet with you at a location convenient for you.

Love, love, love....how can you love your mortgage company but I somehow managed to do it. I went into the home buying process thinking that it was going to be difficult and hard to do and I might not even get one since the housing crash. But boy did "Joe" change my mind entirely. I can't stop bragging about how easy the whole process was. They work with you and tell you each and every step during the process. They follow up when you forget to call back. They were up front about all the fees and they were dead on (or less) so I appreciated it. Joe helped me when I changed from looking in Pennsylvania to New Mexico. The only thing I could say is to make sure the date you want to close is on the contract because that is the date that underwriting uses to make sure you close with any delays. Closing was done easily with no issues. I have recommended this to 2 close friends so hopefully they will work out too!

The staff at 1st Alliance Lending were very knowledgeable and so pleasant to work with. They always returned my calls, kept me up to date with what was going on. Best experience we have had with a mortgage. Able to reduce interest rate as well as monthly payments. Job well done! Will recommended to others.

Absolutely horrible.

Initially it went well, but I soon started receiving phone calls that I needed to get a letter from my employer that I would be working from home after our move.

It then became we may have to cancel your loan and restart the process if we don t have the letter from your HR department within a certain time frame.

After our move, we received phone calls from Nelson Smith at 1st Alliance that if the funds weren t dispersed within a certain time frame we would have to go through the closing process again on our home, and no one wants that.

I never dreamed I had such power over corporations, financial institutions, and the state of VA that I could meet the whims of 1st Alliance.

Thankfully, they sold the loan to someone else!

Wonderful experience! Everybody we dealt with was very respectful and knowledgeable. Sara was great to work with. She promptly answered all of our questions and made sure we were updated regularly on the status of our refinance. We close on Thursday and I expect that will go as smoothly as everything else has.

1st Alliance Lending is very thorough in getting you what they say they will do. the paperwork is quite a lot, but they help you every step of the way. they are very patient through the entire process, and will answer any questions you may have. We have never had a better lending experience! Our "person" is Kyle Murphy and we can't say enough good about him. He answered our questions before we asked them, he kept us completely in the loop about everything that was happening with our refinance. He is a pleasure to work with, always positive and went above and beyond on many occasions. The other representatives that we spoke to from time to time were just as positive and helpful. We closed in a decent amount of time and there was never a hold up. We will be recommending this company to everyone we know who needs to refinance. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Mike k did a great job getting me into my new home. He worked really hard, had very good communication! We jumped through lots of hoops but got the job done. Mike is definitely a great asset to this company.

What a nightmare. Just don t, if you can find anyone else. We did eventually get a home just not through this lender. Just to be clear, this is not a review from a disgruntled customer who could not qualify for a home loan, this is a review from someone who was strung along for 5 months! It was costly, we ended up living in hotels trying to get in to our home. I can t even describe the cluster-fumble that was the loan process these people made us go through. They said they eventually let go of our original loan officer but that was not true. They lie. Then our loan got pushed off on someone who just had a baby so we had to start over again with a new person. Not that I m begrudging someone motherhood but we re now paying 125 dollars a night to sleep when we should ve been in a home for months already. We finally found a new lender who closed and had us the keys in 13 days! That s total, including weekends, we had two whole days left on our hotel stay as well so it was a very relaxing transition once NW Funding took care of us. Just find a legitimate lender that s honest. They all just sell these loans anyway so nobody is your friend, remember that and you ll be better off.
