Drew McCrary Review of LACMA

I don't know how I haven't reviewed LACMA before. I have been here many times over the years, and this is one of the only places that always seems to deliver for me every time.
There is always something that speaks to me at LACMA. I may not be into the abstract or surrealism exhibit on this trip, but I know that I can always escape to the solace and simplicity of the Japanese Pavilion for the subtleties of haiku and masterful Kanji.
Or I can grab a cup of coffee and wander the grounds, catching the famous tar pits, or maybe catching a glimpse of Levitating Mass.
Or I can check out one of their special exhibits, which happened to be the Caravaggio and Kubrick on my last trip.
Regardless of how I'm feeling, or what I'm into- I always find something to be a source of inspiration. And with the addition of food trucks that seem to always be hanging out nearby, I was able to spend the better part of a day engrossed in art.
If you haven't been, treat yourself and get cultured, you philistine.
