Below is the account of out experience at the Pompano store. I called corporate today and they let us know that the store employee was wrong and they are going to replace the moldy food:

We purchased a large bag of Nutro Essentials on August 20, 2019 in Pompano. Less than 1 moth later it has started to mold. We have it stored inside, in an airtight container.

Our dog was sick for several days last week and we had to take her to the vet this past Monday morning.

It is a 30 pound bag and there is still 25 pounds left. We called the store as we still have the receipt and wanted to make sure we could return it.

My girlfriend is the one who first spoke with "Sara" . My girlfriends English is not perfect. Sara took full advantage of that fact and direct my girlfriend to call Nutro and let them deal with it and ended the conversation.

I called back to verify that she would not accept the return, she directed me to call corporate in Sunrise. She said that my girlfriend told her that we have little of the food left which she never said. Sara may have misunderstood her. Again, we have 25 of the 30 pounds left. She told us that she doesn't have any proof of how we stored our food. I told her I would bring the 25 pounds back in the container it's in so she can see for herself. See attached pics.

We have to purchase new food tonight and it would have been great to go there and take care of it in one shot. For sure we will not be going back to this Pet Supermarket ever. Be careful shopping here! The food may mold, your animal could get sick and then have to deal with the manufacture as the retailer is not taking ANY responsibility.
