Excellent views but the hotel... not so much. I booked two adjacent Executive Rooms and when we checked in only the twin room was ready. We had to wait more than an hour before they handed us the keys for the King room. During the waiting time I rang the reception and the lady said to me that the availability time of adjacent rooms are not guaranteed. She offered another room on another level. I explained that I wasn't confident in leaving my two children alone on a different level. i booked the rooms on 5 May which gave you two months preparation and all i got were excuses. How much more time to you need to get this right?

Do you really think a complimentary valet parking is enough to compensate this?

You have no idea that i found balls of dust on the window sill, dusts on the frame sills and dried toothpaste behind the spout of the bathroom sink. Do i need to mention that all the bed scarves were missing on all three beds!!!

The cafe Mix is another story. The staff lack consistency in checking the containers when in need of refilling. More importantly, how many staff need to walk around a spillage on the floor before it gets cleaned? Even a wet floor sign was not in sight!!!

Do you want another story? Well a note was left on the window seat advising us to close the curtains for privacy due to the 5am cleaning of the outside of the windows. However, my photograph of the sunrise does not reflect a clear window at 7am.

I desire perfection on a five star luxury hotel but you produced average. Shangri La Sydney definitely over rated!!!
