Great trip to Danakil, made between February and March with Kailas, along the Rift-Valley to reach the land of the Afar ethnic group, climbed to Erta-Ale, both the first and second mouth of the volcano with an excellent trek, continuing on the plain of salt (salt lakes with dromedary caravans) and finally with Dallol's great colors, light and intense colors for the eyes and for photography enthusiasts. All this in the area without accommodation for us Westerners, but thanks to Kailas, the geologist who accompanied us (Nicolas Martinoli) and their correspondent have been able to make us live this journey with great intensity and overcome every little difficulty, because Danakil, I think that it is not a trip for everyone, but for those who know how to adapt to those lands, with the great heat and its contradictions.
