I recently purchased a 2013 used Dodge Avenger from Hall Automotive Jeep Dodge Ram located at 3152 Virginia Beach Blvd. Virginia Beach Virginia 23452 on October 24th, 2014. Upon arrival we were shown a car before being serviced that contained mounds of trash, wine bottles, papers, and dog stains and the smell of smoke. I was even asked if I would like to test drive it in that condition.

As soon as I handed my money over I have had several issues come up. Throughout the purchasing process I repeatedly mentioned to our sales agent that a second key to the vehicle was very important to me. The sales agent gave a whole spiel about how the second key was probably at the other location, but then when he got there it changed to located in an inventory box, that he did not have access to it, and that the manager that does have access to it would not be in until Monday October 27th.

On Monday October 27th, 2014 after not hearing from my sales agent I called inquiring about the second key and was told that there was not a second key available for my car, despite having a conversation while signing the paperwork and saying that we definitely wanted another key and being lead on that they would get one for us. After repeated inquiries the sales agent offered to have a key made at my expense, despite saying multiple times that it was no problem and we would get one.

I then inquired about the 4 digit pin to the vehicle so that I could look into getting a key made on my own and that was ignored as well until I called several times and voiced my concerns to a manager. The manager I spoke with was very unwilling to help me due the fact that a second key was not written in the We Owe paper work. The sales agent did not fully explain the We Owe paper work though I had already expressed how important a second key was to me. We were pushed to sign the We Owe document before signing other paperwork and did not have it fully explained to us the full significance of the paperwork.

My vehicle that I purchased still contained crumbs and debris left inside the center console and other areas throughout the car after being detailed for at least an hour and a half. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing experience with customer service. You expect these tactics out of some back alley, fast talking car lot but certainly not out of an established, respected dealership.
