I have been a faithful supporter of BCAS And even adopted, but I m highly disappointed with how I was treated during my visit today. To back track, On 11/23/19 I decided to foster a litter of kittens because one of the volunteers there encouraged me to do so to stop them from getting sick .I get home with the kittens, and set up their room (because I was told they can t be around any animals at home for 2 weeks) and something in my gut was telling me something was off. The kittens were sneezing, refusing to eat, had crazy amounts of diarrhea (I was surprised so much could come out of something so little), and seemed like they were weak. I contacted the manager and was told to bring them in on 11/26, which I did. The vet told me everything was fine, and that they just had an upper respiratory infection and sent me home with meds for them for 10 days. Long story short, I was going back and forth because my fosters obviously had something going on with them and I kept being told they are fine and gaining weight they should. The very last visit (Because once again something seemed off) I was told they could have parvo And dehydrated and that they would be kept for a few days and I would get a call. A week goes by...not a phone call. Few days later I call to check on them (They were clueless as to which kittens) and I m told they are fine and I will receive a call if something was wrong. ANOTHER week goes by and I call and I m told they were adopted out already and she apologized for how I wasn't told anything. Fast forward, I was Pretty much told I m not allowed to adopt a cat under the age of one because my foster was severely dehydrated and I don t know how to take care of kittens (My 2 cats I have now that i had since a few weeks old are happy, healthy, and the biggest cuddlers. Never once sick.) Then was told that my children probably brought an illness home from school to make my fosters sick. If that was the case wouldn t my other kittens be sick as well? Biggest slap in the face ever after I took my time and money trying to make sure my fosters were great fur babies for someone. I guess my multiple trips to the vet telling them something was wrong With my foster litter didn t matter, and they pinned the blame on me because they don t want to be accountable for giving someone sick kittens. I really felt like I was doing something good for the community, and they ruined my whole experience with lies, and finger pointing.
