From my husband.....The O.R. Folks were great. My nurse and the woman at the surgery desk were wonderful. Dr. Pence and Dr. Hayes excellent as they always have been.

Everything else was screwy. The nurses warm packed a vein that was the worst one possible because they have to try that one first . RNs are professionals and should be able to say every other one (vein) looks better than that one. And sure enough that one didn t work, they went to one that was a keeper. I have never had anyone miss my veins or have one that didn t work due to a valve type of obstruction .

Jason from anesthesia did not tell me he was not Dr. Hayes. My wife let me know that HE was not HER.

Volunteer told us go sit down not have a seat if you would like, it will just be a few minutes. We sat driving for one hour prior to arrival. Volunteer acted like the list was top secret, would not listen to the wife as she told her my name. Volunteer said to me after blowing her off name ? First name?

Pre op no one said I could do papers on line and it would help weed out bad info. I had to keep asking the person who called to speak up on the phone. She would not accept that I did not have inhalers to bring with me.

Even though the office had told me a time to expect to need to be there, AND I got an email matching it on the day of the Pre op call, the person insisted that she could not tell me that I was even on the schedule for my out patient procedure. She told me that my Dr would change it and I would hear by 3 pm the next day when to arrive. (As it turned out I needed to be there earlier than I thought originally. She could have said we have you schedule as your Dr s 915 but things can push that up or down. There is a way to say that without making you wonder if you re even scheduled). We expected that there might be a slight change of time but she made it seem like I really wasn t on the schedule.

I have not had issues like this at the out patient center that is owned by the Hospital. I don t understand how I wound up so frustrated with the Hospital itself. I will never put myself in there hands again even though the care was good, getting to it made me want to cuss.
