Review of Brotman Medical Center

I was admitted to this hospital a couple days ago ...

I was admitted to this hospital a couple days ago and was brought up to the 5th floor, most of the nurses were very kind and professional. But then one of my nurses I had at night first thing was I had pushed the call button because my IV had fallen out and the medication was burning and my hand was starting to swell up , I waited for over an hour for my nurse to come fix it and the machine kept beeping so I kept silencing it but finally I got tired of doing it so I pressed some buttons and it stopped..I went to bed because she never came, I understand there are n several other patients but when I confronted her tonight she made it seem as I was confused and that I had the days mixed up. Then tonight she I had asked if I could take a shower and she told me she didn't have time for me, then I had asked if someone could change my sheets because there is blood on then she once again she didn't have time she's too busy and when I told her about my A IV she tried to flush it and my vein had blown, lastnight when she hadn't come , she just left it and saidagain she had no time to deal with it and n left the room, I just thought it was unprofessional and she didn't seem to care about me.. The patient, I completely understand they have to pass meds at 9pm but telling a patient that they dont have time for me made me feel that I wasn't important. I went to the charge nurse and didn't seem to care either and just kinda brushed me off. I'm pretty easy going and don't ask for much but I feel respect is important. I just hope the other patients are taken care of and she at least gives them the attention they deserve since they are older and need more assistance then I do.
