Within last 2 months, utilized the Society for their low cost neuter, chip, rabies service for a kitty dumped outside my home. There were a lot of other pets showing up for this wonderful service. All were treated with care, compassion and efficiency. Volunteers and staff alike were helpful and efficient. I know many of the volunteers that work tirelessly for this organization, who are there countless hours, who foster animals to make them more adoptable. I laud their efforts. My Grandmother and her sisters were founding members of what used to be called the Animal Rescue League, now Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Then, as now, the need is overwhelming at times, the resources, never enough, those working in the trenches never appreciated enough. Animals spark our emotions, let's use that emotion for building up not tearing down. Walk a mile in their shoes, adopt or foster or donate.
