I bought a brand new Ford Ranger from Lithia Ford ...

I bought a brand new Ford Ranger from Lithia Ford of Boise October of last year. The Air conditioning and heating went out the following May or June. I went in to have it repaired, under warranty. They said they would have it over night. One week later they still had my truck and made me get my own rental car so I could keep working. Every time I called or went in there was a new excuse about why they didn t have the part yet and why I couldn t take the truck. I racked up a healthy bill on a rental car because of this, not to mention the major head ache of not having my own vehicle which is required for my job. I had to transfer to Utah for work and needed a vehicle but they still didn t have it done. I finally had no choice but to take my vehicle without AC in the middle of summer. They said as soon as the part was in I would receive a call and they could send it to a dealership in Utah or I could come back and have the job done there. I never received a call. I tried calling them and every time got put off, or told that they were still waiting for the part, or whatever other excuse. I finally took it in to the dealership in Utah, Larry H. Miller Ford of Utah. After dealing with this issue for a very hot summer I was finally told by a representative at this dealership that the part has been on National backorder and they were another 3 to 6 months out before they could replace the part. The only honest person I have found in the whole company so far. I was finally able to reach someone at corporate who was able to rush the part for me. I got it fixed. Yesterday, while on a family trip, the heater and AC went out. I have a five month old son and a 4 year old daughter who spent the day freezing in the morning, burning up during the 80 degree plus day, and freezing at night on our way home after I was forced to cut the trip short because of the discomfort and really danger this truck put on my family. FORD is the worst decision I have ever made. I have spent weeks worth of MY time dealing with the numerous issues that have not been resolved for over 5 months. I have spent thousands of dollars on rental cars, missing work, etc. I went an entire summer in extreme discomfort as driving my vehicle with no AC was my only option since I work out of my car. I wasn t able to drive my family or have any passengers in the car for months and then when I finally think its fixed, I find myself with my whole family trying to have a vacation and am forced to end it because everyone is hating life, in extreme discomfort, and my infant son was likely in danger of heat exhaustion. I have been extremely patient over the last several months after lost money, lost time, and a ton of pain and discomfort. I understand the stereotypes about ford vehicles now because they are all true. At this point, the truck is obviously a dud, unfixable, and any fix they do I cannot trust.
