Lydia Muliken (definitely no 'g') made the history...
Lydia Muliken (definitely no 'g') made the history come alive. I took this tour with my two ten year-old twin daughters, and they raved about the experience. This is even more significant given that we are Torontonians, and so they have had little exposure to the war of independence. They were riveted to the information being conveyed to them. Lydia was able to find and perfectly maintain that ephemeral balance between entertainment and fact-communication, no easy task with a group of 35 adults. The 90 minutes slipped by in what seemed like 45. With so much humour and fascinating insight, the biggest disappointment was when we were notified that the tour had come to its conclusion. Boston is steeped in history, and Lydia only whetted our appetite to further immerse ourselves. We hope that Lydia continues to have an opportunity to share her love of colonial history so that others can benefit from such a delightful experience.
