I started my month-long tour of Japan by staying at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo. Then the Four Seasons in Kyoto and the Ritz in Osaka. Compared to the other hotels, the Mandarin Oriental exceeded every metric of every facet possible when it comes to service, hospitality, Japanese tradition, aesthetics, etc... like I said, category possible. Their attention to their guests' stay and comfort is superb. Note: the hotel occupies the eight highest floors in the tower it calls home. You'll have a great view of the entire city from your stay here. There's no need to go to the Sky Tree, World Trade, or Tokyo Tower when you can see everything from the comfort of your own bed, bath tub, gym, and restaurant.
