Very old people locked up for 12 hours in Woonzorg...

Very old people locked up for 12 hours in Woonzorgflat Leopolak Amsterdam.
Life-threatening situations.

Woonzorg writes: "The residential complex is built for seniors who would like to continue living independently.
There are 72 luxury apartments in the residential complex, spread over 14 floors, which are accessible by both lifts. "

On Thursday, November 15, 2018, both elevators had dropped from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm in the morning.
The only thing left for people who had appointments at the hospital or were dependent on food in the restaurant was the fire escape.
People aged 80 and 90+, who had difficulty walking, had to come down themselves without any help. There was no backup plan to assist the people.

A service level agreement (lettuce) of max. 2 hours, if both lifts have failed, seems essential. Also a faster response if 1 lift failed would be an essential improvement.

With the 72 x 125 euro monthly service costs (18,000 per year), budget space for this target group has to be made. This only logistical road must work tip top.

What kind of emergency plan plan will Woonzorg make here in the future? Very serious life-threatening situations could have happened.

If both lifts have fallen out and elderly people only have to scramble the fire escapes, then you know in advance that there are great risks that could have been prevented if sufficient responsibility was taken in advance with a practical emergency scenario.

Now that Woonzorg knows this, what responsibility and effective measures does Woonzorg take to cover its (legal) liability?

There are more cases inadequate. Who is there, in addition to the board and the supervisory board, internally directly responsible for?

Another example:
At the entrance, a huge glass panel has been temporarily repaired for about two years. Very pampering view. It has now been repaired for some time, but over two years in a dilapidated state is too long.

3 January 2019: the automatic side entrance door has not been working for days. The door does not open anymore and you can no longer enter. Only walking around and inside is another option. Why does this take so long?

In short, consider whether there is no other way and this vulnerable target group can be facilitated, including emergency scenarios that can be used effectively if necessary. So no paper tigers.
