This Company needs to be roasted.. .. I go up the coast a lot to get out of L.A and always stop in S.B for my java boost. Usually I wind up on one of the coffee house on State street but this time I decided to check out the Santa Barbra Roasting Company. It's a stones throw from the 101 and an easy pit stop. The place definitely has the genuine coffee house feel. Big Old Roasting machine in a corner, tall ceilings and an wide open front facing the street. They even have a sales outlet next door
with pro Cappuccino machines stacked to the ceiling.
I definitely felt the vibe.
But ! then I ordered a cappuccino and that's where my brief love affair with this place quickly ended. I should have realize where this was going when I looked at the cup. It was half full. Probably the tiniest capp I was ever served. But the taste..how do I describe it..?? beyond yuck.. somewhere between burnt almonds and dishwater. A MacDonald's coffee is 5 star compared this crap. My wife threw hers out after the first sip. I endured but luckily didn't have to suffer for long
on there teenie sized cappuccino. Back to State street.
