My daughter used to work there as well as my kids attended. They DO have strict rules in place for bullies but unfortunately bullies often say things and do things when the staff is not looking right at them or can hear them. The staff goes through training in dealing with bullies and often sends them home or are asked not to come back. Camp cannot screen their campers and therefore there will be campers who misbehave, bully, etc through no fault of Camp Thurman. The staff there is amazing, enthusiastic, kind, caring and love Jesus. I would take my children/grandchildren back here in a heartbeat! Camp Thurman is the best! IT IS VERY VERY SAFE!
