My transmission decided to die about 30 minutes from this dealership when I was 600 miles from home in Ohio, away on a business trip. I had my truck towed there. It is a 2009 Silverado with 197,860 miles on it and very well-maintained. Doug, the service manager, moved people around to be able to assess my truck on an extremely busy Saturday. They confirmed that the transmission did, indeed, breathe its last breath, and they also did a full assessment in order to honestly tell me anything else that needed repaired before I made the investment of installing a rebuilt transmission. This truck is my work truck with multiple add-ons and specialty items, so the cost of repairs was still far more reasonable than a new truck with a new work body and add-ons. Doug personally contacted a rental company, kept one of his best journeyman mechanics on past his work time to assess my vehicle, and had me shuttled to the airport for a car to be able to go home while he waited for parts and repairs. The transmission died on Saturday morning, parts were ordered to arrive Tuesday, and they wasted no time to repair my truck. I also needed ball joints (and alignment because of this). I drove back (600 miles) on Thursday to pick up my truck. It feels BRAND NEW! I am very pleased! Not only do I give this service department 5 stars, I give Doug 5 stars, and I am forever grateful that, instead of taking advantage of someone who was out of state and pretty desperate, I was treated as an individual and provision was made for extenuating circumstances. I even looked at a few new trucks on the lot, just in case buying a new one was a better option. THANK YOU SO MUCH for saving my very dependable work truck! I could not be more satisfied with service!
