Worst hospital I have ever been in. I was seen for...

Worst hospital I have ever been in. I was seen for and finally diagnosed with infectious pneumonia after the second visit in the same week. I was given something in the hospital to control the symptoms and antibiotics. By the time I got home, the meds I was given in the hospital were wearing off and I spent yet another night almost literally coughing up a lung. Nothing I did at home helped and every time I tried to fall asleep, I kept feeling like I was drowning with this horrible crackling sound every time I wheezed out a breath. The "next" morning (an hour or so later) I gave up on sleep. The pain in my chest and my cough worsened and I started to feel like I was getting stabbed in my back every time I breathed. I waited until my doctor's office opened and asked if I could get in to see her ASAP. She was out of the office until next week. To avoid going back to the ER I tried going to a walk-in clinic where upon examination the doctor there told me my condition seemed "serious" and to go to the ER after all. Reluctantly I went and got the absolute worst treatment I've ever had. I get that there is usually a long wait there since it's the only hospital in the county. But there were only about 5 people in the waiting room when I came in, and not only did I end up getting called dead last (2 hour wait) after several other people came in with lesser conditions and got taken back, they placed me in a chair when they finally did (I could barely even walk and was having a hard time sitting up) and then tended to everyone else that came in before & after me until finally they had a lapse in patients, all the while feeling like I couldn't breathe. I tried to tell them about it, but no one seemed to give a care. They did do some testing and finally after 4 nurses and 2 hours got an IV in me but then kicked me out to a chair in the hallway completely alone while I waited for the test results for no apparent reason. Waited an hour in that chair feeling like I was going to pass out and finally the doctor came and told me I was "fine." When I told her over-the-counter treatments were not working for my symptoms, she basically just told me to deal with it until I see my doctor. Didn't care that my appointment isn't for 5 days...so yet another night spent unable to sleep, and probably several more. Also, when I took my paperwork home (which she did NOT explain to me), it said not only do I have pneumonia, but now I have pleurisy...not getting how that is "fine," but I'm kind of feeling like she was just saying that to push me out the door. I get I was in the ER more than once this past week but I have never had pneumonia, it has been very scary and has come on so fast and unpredictably that I feel I needed to be persistent on it. Unfortunately for me, once again the staff was extremely unprofessional and I feel like I have been left for worse after all of this. I never complained the entire time, but maybe I should have - yet again, it probably wouldn't have done any good anyway.
