From the outside the hotel looks tired and not at its best. Inside the staff were welcoming though forgot until reminded something we asked for. The event we attended there went well with excellent food with no more than minor hiccups. Not a good choice of ale but what was there was ok just not helped by staff not filling he glass correctly. The room had a reasonable view but even with the window open was far too hot. Otherwise the room was a good size and comfortable. Some interior parts looked well worn with signs of water damage and some odd behaviour from the otherwise fully working lifts. Breakfast was a small choice but what was there was excellent. With thick, tender and juicy bacon with very little fat, good sausages, poached eggs and lovely grilled tomatoes. Checkout was painless back into the welcoming mist of Port Talbot.
