I came here, grimy and sweaty, wearing the odd ratty clothes I don for car work (attire a bum would turn his nose up at), and strode thru the gleaming lobby to the parts department, there to buy a small 24" section of aluminum HVAC line that cost over $100. I passed a customer lounge replete with the excessive conveniences that serve as soothing strokes to Acura owners' egos -- clearly implied assurances that they are indeed excellent, upscale and important humans who can afford the large number at the bottom right corner. I payed for my part, and walked back out, pausing only to appreciate a relic on the lobby floor: an ancient Honda CVCC, I think it was, a tiny, true Asian car, the early incarnation of the Civic, a beautifully simplistic, minimal little car that I doubted any one of the entitled folks in this lobby could or would drive if it was a running vehicle.
