I don't know how it is today, I know that 10 yrs ago they saved me from myself. No it wasn't the Carlton/Ritz and they did have very strict rules, but it was very much needed. My 3.5 week stay there, wasn't sunshine and rainbows, it was what I NEEDED to live. It did help, it did me well. There was not one person who was disrespectful to me or other patients. (Even the frequent flyers were treated repectfully)
Based on my record with them, I would recommend. However this was 10 yrs ago too.
