The room was clean, and the view of the harbour was beautiful, but because the bed was EXTREMELY hard, we didn't sleep very much and woke up very sore. This wasn't simply just a firm bed, this was like sleeping on a carpeted concrete floor! My husband can usually sleep anywhere, but even he couldn't get comfortable on this bed. (I suspect that some rooms may have different mattresses, because I cant see how anyone would report this bed as being comfortable!)

They also didn't provide any extra blankets or pillows in the closet, as most high end hotels do. There was only a very thin duvet, sandwiched between two white sheets, (no blanket) and the 4 pillows, (2 for each person on a king size bed), became flat pretty quickly after using them.

We didn't know until checking out that it was an option, but when booking, I highly recommend that you request one or even two mattress toppers, (even if you prefer a firm bed), a few extra pillows and extra blankets be provided for a better sleep than we had. (It is unfortunate that the amazing view can't give you a great sleep too! )

As someone mentioned before, the extra $18/night for underground parking with poor directional signage, and the best spots reserved, was a bit steep. (Oddly, We also were charged extra to have a small microwave provided to our room. )

Though it has most likely been recently renovated, it doesn't look as though it was done by highly qualified trades people. (Small things that took away from the overall look.)

The bathroom doorknob was installed quite crooked, on a door that was poorly painted on the inside edge. The cabinet to the mini fridge had new pull/knobs installed, but the holes from the old ones were not filled and painted over. Small nitpicky things, but for a high end hotel, you would expect nothing less than professional renovations.

That said, it was quite clean, (Be sure to tip the housekeeper! Especially during covid) well lit, and did have a great view with a small patio. There is a keurig coffee maker, and kettle provided with a few regular and decaf coffee pods, tea bags, sugar packets, etc, to use free of charge. There is great water pressure and the bathroom had a nice deep bathtub/shower with the standard courtesy hairdryer, small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soaps provided. There also is a safe provided in the cabinet above the coffee station.
