I booked a stay and Open Water PADI instruction with Crystal Dive and had a great experience. After very quick (last minute) Google search I picked this spot and glad I did. Aside from the fact that they do not accept credit or debit cards of any kind I have nothing bad to say about them.
The location is a short walk from the pier when you arrive. And conveniently located close to everything you'll need as far as stores, restaurants, as well as massage and tattoo joints if you are so inclined. I booked the cheapest room and it did the job. You will not be in the room much as is but know it will be quiet at night and steps from the beach. They also have an outdoor bar with a restaurant next door that will deliver your food to the bar.
As far as the scuba training goes. The training seemed kind of rushed but I am not complaining about that whatsoever. May feel rushed but completely thorough. I was fortunate enough to have Beard and Simon give my instructions and have me diving with the fish in no time. These guys are great and I'll definately be back for further instruction from them to advance my diving. I would have stayed longer and obtained further licensing if it was not for a motorbike accident.
Tip: Stay off of the motorbikes while taking scuba lessons. You do not want to end up as I did unable to go in the ocean for a month.
All in all great experience here. Accomplished something I've been wanting to do for awhile and beleive I have found my new career :)
