When I first moved to Baton Rouge, I called and my automatic draft was setup correctly. The card I was using to pay this bill was about to expire a year later so I called them in advance to change to a new card. This is where the trouble started. I was so used to my bill being automatically paid that I didn't even notice until a day after the bill was due that it didn t draft. I called them up and I had to pay through the phone with an additional fee of $2.95 and a late fee because they put the wrong information. We went through all the information to make sure it was right so this wouldn't happen again. Well the next due date for my bill comes and guess what no draft again except this time I go online and pay and get charged an additional $2.95. This is the 21st century and I have never dealt with so many hurdles to pay a bill. I called them to cancel the draft that never drafted and decided I will just pay online with the fee. Just tried paying online last night and don t see any activity on bank account so wondering if now I can t even pay online even though I got a confirmation number and the bill is due tomorrow . I will call tomorrow to see what the deal is. Thankfully despite the barbaric ways of paying, customer service representative have always been kind and for that reason I am upping this to two stars. If someone can setup my automatic draft so I don t have to pay an additional $2.95 a month I will up the review more. I just find it hard that a city this big has the worst billing system.
