R.I.P....Brave, SuperHero! The ultimate sacrifice ...

R.I.P....Brave, SuperHero! The ultimate sacrifice was made for our safety! We lost one of our best... answering a call for help.
Another was wounded! We pray for his full recovery.
Within days of the new Chief's (Michael Olivieri) appointment...(I met with him the afternoon of his appointment...that night by City Council)...Satan strikes?
He is one of the best I've seen...and I've met a lot in my capacity as Co-Chair of The LAPD Police/Community Advisory Board Summit.
In order to do this work...you have to "have a calling"... otherwise it's just too hard.
There is also a "Blue Family" that forms to protect each other doing this unbelievable hard job.
And some of us are "called" to support them...our front line. That would be me...with many, many years of Volunteer Service to Police Departments.
They need us! I can't tell you how much they need...and how totally gratifying it is to know you've helped.
We will also need to "pitch-in" and help our fallen officer's families cope with this tragedy.
A mural of the Fallen Hero will be painted on the Courtyard Wall of The Gangs 2 Grace Club House. He loved children and pledged his support as a Mentor here. He will never be forgotten! Ever!
