I would like to take this opportunity to express my serious concern about the services I received from the bmw services department. To put it in a simple term, I would just say the services department is the WORST I have dealt with over the past 15 years. So here is my story below:
My car started making some funny noises. I decided to take a personal day off and take my car in for a check up. The mechanics couldn't find anything. I then proceeded with a sound /video recordings to help them identify the problem. To my knowledge, those clips were never used. Then The services coordinator decided to take the car back for a second checkup. So at the point, I have already wasted one day of my vacation and one hour of labour I have paid them for the check up. I held my cool and decided to give them another chance.
In the morning of the second checkup, I promptly showed up at the dealership. I couldn t find my services coordinator only later found out at the dealership she went on vacation. Again, at this point she was handling my case and didn t mention anything about this one day ago when we exchanged emails. Then another so called lead stepped in and helped me. I felt relieved and I was thinking maybe she can finally help me. So the second surprise came in, the coordinator who went on vacation turns out never booked anything for my second check up. Then the lead started with few of her assumptions describing what I heard was normal and there is nothing wrong with my car. Again all I could hear from her was that I am overreacting and the funny noise can be normal engine sound to turbo sound with different models. At that point, I felt a bit irritated. Instead of finding a solution and make this right, she resorted to try to make me feel really dumb.
Then finally she finally proposed to have her manager to call me and figure out a solution which I agree on. So at this point I am late for work and few meetings on that evening because they decided to educate me on the sound of bmw engine with apparent no solutions. Today is the two weeks mark after my last conversation with them , obviously I am not surprised that so called service manager never made a call to me and they probably just want me to go away. And they are probably right this time as I would have to walk away from this dealership after the services they have provided. I am taking my time to write this post is only to warn people not get into my situation. I don t think anyone deserves treatment like this. It is not fair for anyone.
