Easily the worst car buying experience of my life....

Easily the worst car buying experience of my life. They were upset that I didn't want to use their financing department and pushed really hard for me to use their finance guys. Even though I declined their finance guys, they insisted I fill out a credit application otherwise they wouldn't sell me the car. They said I needed to fill out a credit app in order to do the purchase agreement even though I was going through my local bank, which is a flat lie. When I refused to fill out their credit application, they finally relented. Since I refused their financing they refused to take a down payment on the vehicle, they insisted that I return within 24 hours to purchase the car or they would sell it to someone else. My bank was really good and got loan done ASAP. When I returned the next day with a cashiers check for $28k to buy the car, they insisted I sign a waiver to release my personal information to 3rd party marketing. This was a Tom Kadlec form, not for Honda Corporate. When I refused to sign their release, because I didn't want my personal information sold to 3rd parties, they said they would not sell me the car unless I signed the release. I had the check in my hand for the full purchase price and they refused to sell me the car unless I signed a form allowing Tom Kadlec to sell my personal information to 3rd parties for the purpose of marketing. I eventually relented and signed the form and bought the car. A 2014 Certified Honda Pilot. It seems to be a good car, however I have found some things on the car that show Tom Kadlec Honda went the absolute cheapest way to get the car ready for resale. I should have walked away at the beginning when it didn't feel right with the financing push, but I wanted the car. Hopefully the car turn out okay in the long run, but I will never do business with Tom Kadlec again. To Tom Kadlec, feel free to contact me to discuss, I believe everything written here is truthful.
