My wife and I went to Sam Swope to purchase a CR-V...

My wife and I went to Sam Swope to purchase a CR-V. We did the test drive and was ready to deal. We were already offered $12000 for our trade in from Car Max so we knew what our vehicle was worth. Well we gave them the key and they come back offering us $6000. I nearly fell over. I asked where in the world they could get $6000 for a $16000 dollar car. He said carfax had a "possible mileage issue" I replied its easily correctable. All we have to do is call them. They refused and said sorry. I told them I was going to another dealer. He told me to bring Carmax's offer back and he would honor it. So being that its literally next door I went to Camax, got the $12000 offer, and came back just to show Sam Swope people are not to be taken advantage of and show them the offer. In the end I went to Lexington to Don Jacobs and worked with a wonderful salesman named Greg Hines. I gurantee you that it IS worth the drive. They treated us with respect and kindness. I also gave Sam Swope an appropriate negative review to Honda as they follow up when you purchase a vehicle. To conclude I will NEVER return to Sam Swope as they were rude, would not deal their price is as price is..not to mention their dealer fee is through the roof, and they tried to literally steal my trade. Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your time at this dealership. If you can't go to Lexington the next best is Bob Montgomery on Dixie (still won't give you the best price). Just my two cents.

UPDATE: I was never called by the dealership as he stated. They have my number. Another reason to not trust them. Another ding. When I tried to get service they NEVER answer the phones in the service department. We left a mesage and was never called back. Just forget it Mr. Porro.
