Bit shocking. I dont have a smart meter and they were happy with that initially - using estimates and me occasionally emailing them with the correct reading. Then I get a phone call to say they require 4 monthly reads at a charge of $30 a read. Which I though, sure ok. Then without warning, i suddenly was getting phone calls from the meter reader guy saying I needed monthly reads (yes at $30 a read) and Pulse just said "its a new requirement" with no elaboration as to why. So with $30 attached to my bill each month, I had no choice but to look for another , more sane, power provider.
UPDATE: And now i have cancelled my account with Pulse, I find out they have charge me $167 (for what???? - I have paid my latest power bill) which is due in 2 days, right before Christmas!! So what I was going to spend on food to feed my kids, is now going towards a random bill I was not expecting. THANKS FOR THE JOYOUS CHRISTMAS PULSE
