Currently have home and auto insurance with Aviva,...

Currently have home and auto insurance with Aviva, and took out annual travel insurance (adding travel disruption to the policy) in January after booking a holiday to Japan for this May. At that time, Coronavirus appeared to be limited to China so we didn't have any concerns about traveling to Japan. Went online to chat with a representative today since now our trip is looking more uncertain and with non-refundable flights, I wanted to see where we stand in the event of needing to cancel due to Coronavirus. Under the travel disruption terms and conditions, they will allow a claim if there is a pandemic or epidemic influenza in the area you are traveling to. The Aviva representative said that only influenza is covered, not Coronavirus, despite this being a more dangerous virus. He actually wrote the following (from the chat transcript): "Currently the infection and death rate for Coronavirus is lower than common flu so it is not as dangerous at the moment..." That told me all I need to know about Aviva - we will be looking for another insurer for home, auto and travel since they are clearly doing all they can not to pay out. If they do this for travel, then I wouldn't trust them with a home or auto claim.

Update 26.7.20. Upgrading my review for Aviva as I went to Twitter to request a refund for unused annual travel insurance, since all our trips were cancelled by the airlines this year and we will not be able to use our insurance. Two very helpful customer service representatives agreed to refund us about 50% of the cost of our insurance and to cancel it today. This restores my faith somewhat in Aviva and as such we will likely keep our business with them in the future.
