Overall experience was OK. The staff was diligent in making your experience a good one. We stayed at the club room for two nights. Room was great except for two incidents, which has caused me to give two stars overall:

1. A window panel in our room that starts from my two year-old's waist height and was not locked, with a single slight nudge it became ajar. To think that five mins earlier he was playing hide and seek with us behind the curtains...Being a mom and travelling with a toddler, I'd normally be the first to check on safety whenever we check-in to our rooms at hotels, however he beat me to it this time. Mind you, our room was on the 16th floor. A staff was eventually sent to fix the window panel, but I was horrified to say the least, and extremely disturbed by this event. Even though the window was fixed, I couldn't sleep in peace for the two nights we were there just to make sure that my boy don't go near the windows if he wakes up in the middle of the night.

2. In the early morning of our check out day, some cleaning was done in front of our room using an industrial sized machine and the sound that came with it was ear-deafening. We've had a late night before attending a wedding dinner and did not appreciate the sound at all. Not sure why it had to be done at 8.30am in the morning. Perhaps performing the cleaning later during the day when most guests are out is a better option?

The above are not something that I'd expect from Shangrila chain, so I hope moving forward some due diligence on safety of rooms can be performed before guests check-in, especially if you know that there are kids checking in as well.
