I bought a $59.99 rc helicopter and it didn't work...

I bought a $59.99 rc helicopter and it didn't work. Gears for sterring move but rotors don't spin which is odd. I even went through the manual and charged battery before first use. I called them and asked if I could go back to store and I was only told to read the manual.

Not only that but receat says No returns of electronics or engines due to manufacturer policy. It also says that box must be unopened. How was i suppose to know if it worked or not before testing?
