8 Ocean Gate was a beautiful condo however Vacation Company has very poor management. When we arrived to unit for check in garbage overflowing. Dirty towels from prior guests left in bathrooms and washing machine. Unit not vacuumed. Bed linen had hair in it from prior guests. Thermostat was programmed at 76, couldn't adjust. Roku in bedrooms not working. We had to clean the unit at 730 pm after driving 14 hours. When called rental company staff just kept saying sorry. Was referred to by owner who screamed at my husband and I for frequent calls to rental company. Owner offered nothing in compensation except housekeeping. Owner of Vacation Company was very rude to us. To make things worse could not get umbrella for beach due to being private beach area. Was told need to book months in advance. Never made aware of this by rental company. Same with bike rentals. Very unorganized and disappointing . If I owned this unit I would get another rental company soon. We have used other rental companies in Hilton Head with no issues for 12 years.
