The Surin Phuket is a rare find in Phuket, a beaut...

The Surin Phuket is a rare find in Phuket, a beautiful resort with all the amenities for a fraction of the cost of its neighbours. Situated on a private beach 1 hour south of the airport and 30 minutes north of Patong Beach, The Surin boasts elegance.
When you drive up to the resort you are greeted with beautiful architecture that fits seamlessly into the jungle landscape the resort sits on, all overlooking Surin Beach. The beach and pool are both beautiful, and the resort provides many activities to help you enjoy them such and poolside complimentary snacks and happy hours or even water sports. Unfortunately, the beach was closed for swimming and water sports during our stay, so I d recommend calling ahead to see if the beach will be open during your stay.
There are 2 restaurants in the resort, international and Thai cuisine. Definitely go to the Thai Restaurant situated right on the beach, the food is great!
I have deducted a star from this review however because the concierge staff was not helpful. Anything we asked for help with, they actually made worse. They negotiated higher rates for taxi fares and conned us into the worst (and most overpriced) tour of Phang Nga Bay EVER. They told us anything we would book online would be on a terrible boat and that all the ones they offer are luxury and have been vetted by the hotel. In reality, we were on the most touristy, dirty boat of them all! And we paid double what yours online were charging!
The other thing I should mention is that most of the hotel rooms are located on the top of a massive hill, which is not wheelchair accessible. So to get to your room you have to hike up about 10 flights of stairs outside.
