There's some good nurses here, but some are very rude. Suddenly I started getting treated very differently by all nurses after I got into an argument with a nurse assistant about whether or not I was allowed to leave the hospital. She told me they would call security on me if I even tried to leave the hospital wing I was in. This was after her telling me I needed to get up and walk around more. I wasn't on a psychiatric hold or anything like that were they could legally hold me. Her nor anybody else would explain to me what legal grounds they thought they had to hold me. Now apparently someone put some kind of note on my file and now the nurses treated me like I'm a jerk after that. Just because I asked why I couldn't go outside.

Also god help you if you lose track of time (since they didn't write the time of the last dose on your board) and request your next dose of pain medication early. You will get labeled a drug abuser in their system and they'll harass you every day about it and fight you every step of the way in getting the pain medication you need.

I just had a situation where I probably should have gone to the hospital, but I risked my life and additional organ damage not to because of the way I get treated here.

Also medical marijuana would have been greatly beneficial to my treatment but they'd rather you use opiates then shame you as a drug abuser for using opiates. Opiates dramatically increased my healing time due to them grinding my digestive system to a halt for a long time. I wanted nothing more than to get off them, and got treated like a heroin addict the entire time.

I also just recalled one visit where I overheard nurses openly talking about what a joke HIPAA is and how they should all go stop by x patient's room and check out their weird medical issue.
