We have now ordered every one of the five menus (they rotate every other week) from Robert Et Fils since they opened. This has included the most moist and flavorful rotisserie chicken stuffed with olives and preserved lemon and delicately crispy skin, beautiful walleye quenelles with THE MOST AMAZING lobster sauce ever, the steak au poivre and Kohlrabi steak with again an AMAZING sauce, the duck breast, and the confit duck with pressed potatoes. I haven t even mentioned the side dishes or the beautiful and amazing desserts (their pastry chef is every bit as talented as the chef) or the loaf of fresh baked bread (a different type each time)... It has gotten to the point where my husband and I refresh the restaurant s page constantly on the Monday before a new menu in order to see what is coming. It s truly THAT good. We ve dined at 1, 2 and 3 Michelin-Star restaurants in many cities. We have had some wonderful French food in our travels and in Chicago, but Robert Et Fils has quickly and certainly become our go-to. We can t wait until they open their doors for dine-in, but we are so happy to enjoy them from home in the meantime. Bravo, and keep it up! You are our lifeline to normalcy in this trying time!
