Jasmine Burgess Review of Cedarbrook Lodge

We spent our wedding night at Cedarbrook 8 years ago so it holds a special place in our hearts. Since then, we ve stayed twice to celebrate our anniversary. This past stay was nice but sad to say that Covid has really caused this hotel to fall short of our expectations. They used to have complimentary snacks in the living areas which we loved but now you get them at the front desk. I was okay with that until I learned that it was only their chocolates and everything else such as the ice cream, chips and string cheese are now available for purchase. I was also bummed that they no longer have the complimentary breakfast. There is breakfast for purchase but the menu is very disappointing only offering sandwiches and burritos which I think is way below standards for a higher class hotel. The dinner we had at Copperleaf was good but lacked the quality of presentation and service we are so used to having when we stay there. We were also told that turn down service was not available due to Covid so we had to request clean sheets and make our own beds. I understand we are in tough times but really think housekeepers need to pay more attention to detail and make sure they bring the correct sheet sizes and all coffee amenities so the guests do not have to continuously call for the right ones to make their beds like we had to. Also to make sure their comforters are clean and free of blood stains like ours was. Besides that, the room was clean. The spa was nice with great staff. I look forward to when all of their spa services open back up again! I feel bad that Covid has hit Cedarbrook hard. They were short staffed and honestly felt the amount of money we spent was not worth it this time around. I hope they can get back to how they used to be before Covid as this is the only way I will return.
