I've lived in the Miami area since 1967, and I have never seen storm affect the entire state as Irma did. This, plus the other two hurricanes that hit the U.S. last year, I knew it was going to be a long wait to get an adjuster out to see us.
We had to wait a couple of weeks to get our power, electricity and internet back, and we let PTI know we had a claim. I got a phone call from one of the field inspectors, who made an appointment with me in December! A long wait, but like I say, I could recognize from previous experience that these guys were going to be loaded with a lot of work.
But, two weeks later I get a call from a different adjuster, who made an appointment for the next day! And he did come, was very knowledged about not only how to do the job, but also about our account. I didn't know it, as we thought we signed up for the absolute cheapest policy, so he was glad to tell us that we had been paying for the next level up from the bottom. This made things so much easier, plus, he had a great personality and his time with me was painless.
Over the years I have heard several horror stories, but this gentleman (and he was a true, polite gentleman) did the job quickly (as a hard worker), explained it all to me, what our coverage would get us, and we had our checks I believe faster than anyone else in our neighborhood.
I have already told many about our positive experience, and will continue to do so.
