A beautiful place to spend some time. We arrived in time for a great lunch at the Getty Villa cafe. I had the root vegetable soup and salad special that was excellent, in the outdoor, umbrella shaded space overlooking the villa. We saved time at the end for a coffee in the same space.
The collection of antiquities is fascinating, well laid out, with excellent explanation text. The video of the making of the villa is well worth your time. But, the real treasure is the space itself and the gardens. I could have used more time on some of the benches available in the gardens.
Leave plenty of time to enjoy this beautiful space.
