I miss this place so much. I was only there for 8 ...

I miss this place so much. I was only there for 8 months, but it changed my entire world. I made friends, got good grades and, stopped bad using bad coping skills. I love how this place changed my family and, my personal goals. I hope others can see how much this place is worth. It helped me grow into a person that I longed to be. This place is a second home and, If I ever have a child I would send her here. They provided a safe environment for me and they have wonderful teachers. They will work around you and get you away from unhealthy relationships.
They will put you in holds but only if you are hurting yourself/others or running away. i was on a higher level of care for a month called precautions.Ii was off and on it other times as well. It helped me in the end though. I can say today I love AAG!!!
I was reading the other comments and found some harsh feeling towards AAG. A lot of the times people right stuff like that it is because they did not work with the program. If you don't work with the program it won't work. of coarse at first everyone pushes back but, it really helps.
I still have to face things that i don't want to but, i can cope with them now. I still write my friends there about my feelings and that's how I check in with them now. Now that i'm back in TX. Everything's not perfect, and I now know that nothing will ever be perfect.
