The TimeOut Market, the ambitious undertaking of a famous publishing house (originally known for its magazines dedicated to "good times" in many a world city and then for its similar web resources), is located in the building of LIsbon food market, Mercado da Ribeira (a Riverside Market, situated along (and set somewhat in from) the Tagus river bank, about 1 minute walk from the famous "pink street" ( Rua Nova do Carvalho), and about 10 minutes' walk from Lisbon downtown (Baixa, pronounced with a "sh" and not "ex"). It is divided into 2 parts, to both sides of the main hallway, the 5 years old TimeOut Market and "Mercado Tradicional", one of your regular fish, meat and produce Lisbon farmers' markets.
All in all, one can easily get a heaping and filling plate of very fresh and high quality food for under 15 euro.
For our fellow foodies we ought to mention that even the staff offered by the local famous chefs is not the stuff you see in their restaurants but rather Bourdain'ish kind of simple street food savoured by the diners along with generous libations (mostly beer but wine as well). The visitors are definitely not Lisboetas but Irish, Germans, Americans, Russians, French and other guests of the city.
Those who love communal table seating and informal ambiance would definitely enjoy the place. Others may just find a quick walk worth their time.
