Review of The Inn at Reading

Let me start by saying I don't usually post review...

Let me start by saying I don't usually post reviews so this was such an experience that i felt an obligation to do so.
We were hosting a reunion for families that adopted from Russia. This is a group that is used to staying at a Mariott or Hilton. We had planned and booked our group to staying at the Homewood suites and were all set until they had a water main break and had to cancel everyone's reservation. We were feeling pressure to make a reservation rather fast someplace else. We looked at the other places around Reading, even looked into the Marriott but they were in my opinion overpriced and booked up pretty good. We also needed a place with a large pool which they didn't have. They recommended we look at the Inn at Reading. I have to say, my first feeling was, I don't think this will work due to the building being so old (its around 50 years old). We met with Tony that afternoon and he showed us some rooms, the very large pool, met our pricing quote that we found on line previously and was willing to accommodate anything we needed to make this event a success. After viewing the pool area and discussing a possible buffet catered we were sold.
Every aspect of our reunion was a success!!
While the building is old and could really use some good ol' TLC, the staff members were great to deal with, Tony helped make the Hotel part of the event go without a hitch. I gave him a budget we had to work with for dinner and they accommodated that and then some. I was totally impressed. The guests said the rooms were old but very clean and that's what mattered to me.
The evening buffet or 2 pasta dishes, 3 types of pizza, salad, drinks and dessert were all delicious and well presented. We were able to take advantage of the pool side buffet allowing the children and some adults to enjoy the pool while taking our time with dinner. The staff were fabulous!!!! Janice and the other lady (I'm sorry but I cant remember her name) were so good at seeing what we needed and keeping up on the drinks etc so that we didn't run out. You gals were awesome!!
The next morning we had an entire section of the restaurant reserved for those who wanted to enjoy the very inexpensive and delicious brunch. It couldn't have gone any better and I would absolutely consider them again for our next event.
