Horiable experience. I ve been denied twice. Once because I wouldn t adopt 2 cats at a time and another because I said I was unsure on declawing. 2 cats that could of had a wonderful home! I m sad to think of how many animals go to bad homes because of their policies. The cat I adopted a year ago from the human society did wonderful being the only cat in the home. I ve never, in my life, heard of this. They tell you they base their policies on a book they have read from a cat expert. That s like saying, let s read a book on how to parent and your child will thrive and have a better life because so and so said so. I can t imagine how many cats have been mistreated, given away, or let go because people adopted 2 cats at a time when they only wanted 1! I wouldn t say don t adopt from 5 acres but, I wouldn t go in there expecting to walk out with a animal you fall in love with.
