Cranbourne botanical gardens is a fantastic place for families and kids. Plenty of open spaces, picnic areas, playground and water bodies. My kids loved walking in the rockpool waterway. The river walk is a pleasant experience as well. There are plenty of display gardens with unique designs. You need a whole day to enjoy it and still you might have to come a couple of times again to fully cover it.
Overall, a stunningly beautiful garden which is free and very close especially to people from South East Melbourne. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would come again.
