I hardly ever write reviews for establishments, but I have such an admiration for funk n waffles that after my visit last night, it left me incredibly disappointed. My husband and I strolled in for a date night around 10:45 last night to grab a bite to eat and quickly made a decision. The cashier took our order and we sat down. She then hollered at us from the counter that because you guys would be closing soon, that our order was going to be packaged to go, (which was completely fine with us.) I clarified with her to be sure that you guys were still closing at midnight and she said yes. When we got our waffles, they were soggy and doughy and just over all poorly made. Which just made it feel like they didn't care to give good service because we came in closer to closing. By the time we ate our food and left, they still had at least 45 minutes before closing. My husband and I still plan on returning but the service during this visit left much to be desired
