I took my cat here in an emergency. She was acting really strange foaming at the mouth and going nuts for a quick min then seemed fine. I wasn t sure what I was seeing it was happening in the middle of the night until it happen during the day. When I saw it with my eyes I took her straight to these guys. First we were left sitting in the room waiting on the vet for over half an hour when we were the only one there when we walked in (was told the vet had an emergency).... fine. When the vet came in she barely touched the cat just looked her over and said she wasn t in pain maybe she had a stomach or was nauseous, give her Pepcid and she would need blood work for more testing....ok fine. On the way out over $500 ! Oh well what can we do but pay. I m promised someone will call with the results in 2 days. Meanwhile my cat continues to have these attacks and no call back from the office. So I call once... Dr. is in an emergency she ll call you back ....ok I wait a few hours, nothing, so I call Twice someone will call you right back ....ok I wait a few more hours.... I call three times sorry Dr. has been in emergencies all day she will call before she leaves today as soon as she can .....ok I wait all night and nothing!!! So now it s the next day and I m mad I call for a fourth time early in the morning explaining how many times I called yesterday and blah blah blah.....I was put on hold for over 20mins and then CAN YOU GUESS? Dr has to call you back they are in Emergencies .... not ok not fine, I m pissed! My cat is still suffering the attacks are getting worse and more frequent and by this time I ve pretty much figured out on my own the she is having seizures, from google and YouTube! So Hours later and still no call I ask my boyfriend to call because I know I m going to go crazy on whoever picks up the phone. Can you guess what he is told...blah blah blah so he threatens to call and fight the charge on his credit card because they are not rendering the service they promised and they have an hour to call me. Now the vet calls and basically tells me there is nothing showing on her blood tests and when I tell her I think the cat is having seizures she says then take her to a neurologist .... that s it! This place only wants your $$$ and a lot of it. I will Never go there again and will make sure everyone knows how we were treated. I took the results to another vet (Dr. Shukla at Rahway Animal Hospital) today. He is the best I have ever been to and he really loves animals. After telling him of this story he felt so bad he gave us a discount and couldn t believe how much we were charged for blood work! My baby is now on meds and I have my fingers crossed she will be ok.... not that this place would give a damn ... WHAT A RIP OFF!
