My fiance works with Genz-Ryan for her house (a house I will soon be living in and thus my concern) and recently had an experience that did not go smoothly. Initially, all was handled well. Genz-Ryan was contacted with concerns of her humidifying unit not functioning properly. The first inspection the belief was that the filter was too dirty and needed to be replaced, but also during this inspection it was determined that the furnace had a crack in the secondary CO containment and needed to be replaced. This is all well and good and we are glad for the catch.

A little bit after the furnace was replaced, a large puddle of water was found around said furnace. Genz-Ryan came back out and made the determination that the humidifer had a crack (when asked where the crack was they stated it was "internal"). Again, no issue with this. Humidifer replaced and when this was done the furnace stopped working. Technician stated everything was working fine when he left but this was clearly not the case. Issue was remedied the next day.

After all this, about a week later we found yet another large puddle of water under the furnace. It was determined that water drainage lines were moved for surrounding equipment (in this case the water softener) during the initial furnace installation that was then spraying over at the furnace. So after about 6 visits and days off work, it appears we spent excess money on a humidifier that did not need replacing and many headaches along the way.
