I was taken here from manitou springs, afer a suicide attmpt led to me being taken by ambulence to memorial hospital. this was such a great place. we got to go outside and listen to music in the courtyard every day for 30 min to 1 hour. it doesnt seem that great, but t me it was amazing. the hospital that i had previously gone to was PeakView and we would get barely 10 minutes of outsede time in a tiny courtyard per week. not per day, per WEEK. the staff was very kind and helpful, knew how to help me, they had pretty good food, and i was even able to bring my dog and see her once or twice a week. i couldve had her all the time but a boy in my unit was terribly allergic to dogs and shes a lab so tha wouldnt have been good at all. i made lots of friends and they even let me switch rooms so i could be with one of my friends i had met there. they had a whole room of games that you could access all day and you could bring them to your room to play. we got to go to a gym downstairs and play games for a while every day and that was fun. they let you have shoes in your room after they took the laces out (for obvious reasons) the doctors were nice too. the only reason i gave this 4 stars is because after my 1 week was up my mom had to wait for 3 hours for me to come out. please go here! it may have changed because is ben about 1year since ive been here but id still recommend it to anyone.
