We had a good and relaxing stay all in all and I would have given the experience a 5-star, Excellent rating if not because of the following concerns we encountered during our stay:

1) The in-room dining attendant failed to come back to give our change (because we paid in cash). We needed to make multiple calls to extension 1 the following morning because he didn't come back as he promised. It was a bit of a stress as we're checking-out that day so we needed to make repeat calls. They managed to resolve it at past 11am. Although the food items served to us were very delicious. I loved their Sinigang na Baboy.

2) I didn't have issues with the room looking a bit old because it was clean and orderly, anyway, when we arrived. However, one of the sliding panel doors which covered the bathroom was already malfunctioning. Since I had my 1 year old daugter with me, I needed to be extra alert so she won't get herself hurt in case she pushed the damaged panel by mistake. I also didn't feel that the bathtub was safe. But the bathroom looked really elegant and the complimentary toiletries had very good quality.

3) I thought the free breakfast lacked the variety I was expecting. Not sure if that was because we were not able to secure the free pass at The Circles since the hotel was fully-booked due to the festivity that's why we were given the pass to have our breakfast at the Rizal Ballroom, instead. Also, the coffee was not quite hot when served to us. There's also nothing special about the taste of the food they served. But the staff and attendants were very nice and warm.

In general, our family enjoyed the stay but since it was our first time to check-in, I was a bit disappointed with the experience because I was expecting something more since it's Shangri La. I won't consider coming back since our experience was not worth the price we paid. To be honest, I even had some regrets over choosing this hotel instead of the other option I had when booking.
