During the last heat spell, I turned on my airconditioning for the first time since I had a new furnace and thermostat installed by Pyramid.
The air compressor did not come on, only in fan.
I called Pyramid. They sent someone out the same day.
The problem was that my new, "smart" thermostat and furnace and my old, dumb air compressor were not communicating with each other.
It took a lot of time and troubleshooting, but in the end, I was only charged for the new air filter that I had also asked them to bring.
Even though this was the correct and ethical thing to have done, since the entire system should have been workong togeather; here are many companies out there that would have tried to charge something extra anyway.
